Hello there.
Well, it's official. I am no longer a citizen of Wichita, Kansas. Tear.
I had some great times there, and I will miss living with the lovely Estey and working at Granite City and just spending time with great people there. My wonderful dad showed up at my apartment real early this morning and we started the whole "moving" process. It took forever! And I DID have a lot of stuff, he was right.
But overall, it went pretty smoothly. I am SO thankful for his help, without it I would be in a lot of trouble! Now, I'm happily home in Topeka with my parents, relaxing. It's nice. And yet, a little sad. One chapter of my life is coming to a close. I definitly have learned A LOT in this past year out of college, and am learning what it means to be a "self-sufficient" adult. Life always seems to be changing, and I don't think that will ever end.
In my last week in Kansas, I have had some absolutely delightful times! One of my good friends, Lynnie came to visit and we had such a wonderful time. We went and stayed with our dear friend from the Coffeehouse, Ashley. And Kassie joined us from KC. It was so much fun! We even found shoes - or I should say, I found shoes for Kass's wedding. :)
And we attended a beautiful wedding - that of Heidi Glanzer & Daniel Carlson! Oh, it was stunning...and uniquely them. As it should be. It was so good to see lots of familiar faces, many of whom I had not seen in a while. And on our way home, where did we stop? The ever famous, Drubers! It was delightful.
Well, I still feel like there is MUCH to do before I leave Friday, but it will all get done in time. I need to ship all my Pampered Chef products to the place I'll be staying in D.C. - and PACK! Wow. How does one pack for 5 weeks?! I guess I'm about to find out. Thank you for your prayers as I finish this chapter in my life. I appreciate all your support and friendship. Worry not - I will keep you updated on life as I know it. Have a lovely week!
I love this blog! I can't wait to see the pictures.
